Terms and Conditions

Accurate Passengers Weights are required for all flights and must be provided at time of booking.

Any Pre-Existing Medication Conditions – please advise at time of booking.

Mechanics Bay Helipad is a busy public helipad and Heletranz are permitted only 20 minutes to land helicopter and either embark or disembark passengers and depart again. If helicopter departures are delayed due to passenger’s late arrival, this will incur an additional landing fee and possibly additional flying time (at expense of passenger).

Mechanics Bay landings will only be booked once deposit has been received, and are subject to availability at time of booking. Once booked, the Mechanics Bay landing fee is non-refundable.

Mechanics Bay Carpark. Pay by plate parking meters have been installed at the Mechanics Bay helipad. At the carpark payment kiosk, please enter vehicle licence plate number and pay for your parking. Current charges are $4 per half hour, $18 per 12 hours and $23 for 24 hours. Prices are subject to change at any time. Parking fees are the responsibility of the vehicle owner, and not Heletranz. Strictly enforced.

Dangerous Goods – All passengers are required to notify Heletranz of any dangerous goods to be advised and assessed before taken on the aircraft

Heletranz reserves the right to postpone/ cancel any trips due to adverse weather conditions.

All flights are subject to weight limitations

All flights are subject to aircraft and crew availability, weather conditions and operate in daylight hours only. Any request to increase flight time will incur additional charges. This fare is for the helicopter component only unless stated otherwise. All fares are in NZ$ and include 15% GST. All fares are valid for the dates specified above and are subject to change. A fuel surcharge may apply at time of travel. A 50% deposit is required at time of booking or within 24 hours, with balance due prior to departure. If travel is within 10 days of booking, then full payment is required immediately. Credit card processing fee applies – Visa/MasterCard 1.75% or Amex 3%.

Cancellation Policy

100% cancellation fee if cancelled within 24 hours of flight departure. We will endeavour to do our best to re-schedule your arrangements (supplier amendment fees may apply, if applicable).

50% cancellation fee (helicopter component only) if cancelled between 24 and 72 hours of flight departure.

25% cancellation fee (helicopter component only) if cancelled between one month (31 days) and 72 hours of flight departure.

If you cancel your booking after it has been confirmed, and one month (31 days) prior to travel, you must pay us a $250.00 helicopter cancellation/administration/booking fee, and any cancellation fees imposed by the suppliers of your product.

If you have paid any amount to us in respect of the booking we may use it to pay the above costs and fees. Any difference will be refunded to you.

Applicable cancellation fees will apply for other operators, ie lodges, attractions etc which are beyond Heletranz’s control and will be advised at time of booking.

Cancellation fees do not apply when Heletranz Limited cancels a flight due to weather.

The client/passenger acknowledges that Heletranz may need to cancel or reschedule flights or services due to landing restrictions, unsuitable weather conditions, technical problems, operational reasons, or any event beyond the Carrier’s reasonable control. Heletranz will not be liable for any consequential losses or additional costs incurred as a result of cancellation.
